Just a reminder that Prairie View Christian Church will be conducting Bible class Sunday July 25th and then take its annual summer break. We will resume our Bible classes Sunday August 8, 2010, which coincidentally corresponds to the ninth anniversary of our church.

When the inventory for our publications ministry runs out, we will have to temporarily suspend it due to a lack of financial support. When the finances come in, we will resume the publications ministry. If you would like to contribute to the publications ministry directly, you can earmark your donations.

New Music CD

Are You Ready?

Good evening,

For those of you who are interested the new music CD is now available. It is entitled Are You Ready? You can download the music from our website. You can also order the CD through the website as well. We don't charge for our teaching or music.

On the cover of the Cd is a picture of an eagle, which was taken in Iowa by Bill Albers. Notice that the eagle is poised to take off. Christians are said to be carried by God on eagles wings. The fact that the eagle is poised to take off symbolizes the readiness of the Christian for the rapture (i.e. resurrection) of the church, which is imminent the Bible teaches. The Bible teaches that it will come like a thief in the night.

CANCELLATION-Prairie View Christian Church Bible Class-Tuesday February 9, 2010

Good evening,

Prairie View Christian Church is canceling Bible class for Tuesday February 9, 2010 due to the snow storm that is hitting the eastern Iowa area. The snow will be accompanied by 30 mile an hour winds Tuesday evening, thus resulting in poor visibility and driving conditions. Classes will resume Wednesday February 10, 2010.

Prairie View Christian Church will be cancelling Bible class this evening Wednesday January 20, 2010 due to the ice storm that is hitting the Cedar Rapids area this afternoon and this evening. We will resume classes Thursday January 21, 2010 weather permitting.

Prairie View Christian Church is cancelling service this evening Thursday January 7, 2010 due to the snow storm and 30 mile an hour winds that are forecasted for this afternoon, which will cause icy roads and drifting snow, blocking many roads during the course of the evening.
